Branding

Turn "I need a logo" into a real, versatile brand identity: a validated name (trademark, domain, and category-collision checked), a full logo system — wordmark, icon, lockup, and an optional mascot — in light/dark/transparent variants, plus palette, type, and a brand board. It grounds itself first by running the market + design research, asks whether you even need a domain, then generates the marks as HTML rendered to image so they stay crisp and on-brand. Free for everyone.

What it does

Entry-point question routes it: have a brand · have a company but no logo · start from zero
Names validated for trademark, domain, and category collision before you commit
Logo system — wordmark · icon · lockup · optional mascot — the research decides which fit
Every mark in light/dark + mono/knockout + transparent; reads on white, dark, a photo, and at 16px
Domain is a question, not an assumption

When to use it

Run /design-forge:branding to create or extend a brand. It asks where you're starting — existing brand, a company with no logo, or zero — then grounds naming + visual direction by invoking analyze-market + ux-researcher, asks if you need a domain, and generates the logo system (HTML→image) in every variant.

Example

$ /design-forge:branding
Start: company, no logo -> grounding (analyze-market + ux-researcher)
Direction: warm/premium - navy+amber - Inter
Generated: wordmark - icon - lockup (h+stacked) - favicon/OG (light+dark+transparent)
Brand board -> tasks-plans/branding/. Next: /design-forge:compose

Other Design Forge skills

/design-forge:intakePRO
IntakeFour quick questions — what you're building, your design system, brand assets, and motion level — turn a vague "make it look good" into a precise brief every downstream Design Forge skill reads, so you never re-explain your intent. Native AskUserQuestion at each step; re-run to change a single answer.
/design-forge:ingestPRO
IngestLift a real design system into Design Forge in seconds — point it at your current project, a GitHub repo, a named shadcn theme, or a live URL and it extracts the colors, typography, and spacing tokens every generator then matches. No manual token entry; network calls are consent-gated with graceful fallback.
/design-forge:product-plannerPRO
Product PlannerMap user types, goals, flows, screens before coding.
/design-forge:ui-designerPRO
UI DesignerBuild the web surface itself — website, landing page, webapp shell — from a curated industry × platform × style taxonomy: exact motion physics, per-industry pattern sets and skip-lists, section templates, cursor/3D gating. These are the concrete decisions training memory averages into the generic AI look. Detects its mode from disk — inside a compose campaign it consumes the brand's recorded decisions; standalone it grounds cold starts via ux-researcher + analyze-market + intake before building.
